Local mains drainage and refuse collection tax (basura y alcantarillado)
Every property owner has to pay the local mains drainage and refuse collection tax every 3 or 6 months and it is paid to the Town Hall they belong to.
This tax is paid to cover the collection of rubbish and drainage made by the local authorities.
The tax is usually set between 200 EUR and 250 EUR per year and it is calculated by the Town Hall.
This tax can be paid either through bank transfer or directly at the local Town Hall.
Everyone has to pay the tax, both residents and non residents.
Good to know
If your property has a garage then an extra 18 EUR will be added to this tax.
